GD Resources LLC is seeking reliable, customer-focused Park Attendants to support recreational operations at Riana Campground located at Abiquiu Lake, New Mexico, in support of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).

The Park Attendant will help maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organized campground environment by assisting visitors, monitoring campground activities, operating the fee booth, collecting recreation fees, and ensuring compliance with campground rules and regulations.

This position requires individuals who are comfortable working outdoors, interacting with the public, handling administrative tasks, and living on-site in a self-contained RV during assigned duty periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Staff and operate the campground fee booth during scheduled hours
  • Welcome visitors and provide campground information, directions, and assistance
  • Register campers and process reservations using the Recreation.gov / R1S system
  • Collect, secure, reconcile, and remit campground fees and maintain accurate records
  • Open campground gates at 8:00 AM and close gates at 10:00 PM
  • Conduct routine campground inspections multiple times daily
  • Monitor visitor compliance with campground rules, quiet hours, and stay limits
  • Post campsite reservation tags and manage campsite occupancy
  • Maintain daily activity logs and incident reports
  • Report emergencies, accidents, safety concerns, maintenance issues, and violations to USACE personnel or local authorities
  • Maintain the gatehouse and assigned work areas in a clean and sanitary condition
  • Assist visitors during emergencies and coordinate emergency access when required
  • Support pavilion reservations and other recreational area operations
  • Maintain professional appearance and courteous customer service standards at all times

Work Schedule

  • Seasonal contract period from April through October annually
  • Rotating schedule of seven (7) days on duty followed by seven (7) days off
  • Contractor personnel must maintain 24-hour on-site availability during assigned duty periods
  • Fee booth staffing requirements include:
    • Sunday–Thursday: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
    • Fridays, Saturdays & holidays:
      • 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
      • 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Mandatory two-day orientation/training prior to season start

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in an outdoor recreational environment
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn reservation/payment systems
  • Ability to accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and fee reconciliation
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass required federal access/security screening
  • Must not have felony convictions or be listed as a registered sex offender
  • Ability to comply with all USACE, federal, and safety regulations
  • Ability to maintain professional conduct and appearance while representing the campground

Required Contractor-Provided Equipment

  • Self-contained RV or travel trailer (minimum 18 feet)
  • Personal vehicle for campground patrols and transportation
  • Required vehicle insurance and applicable registrations/licenses

Government-Furnished Support

The Government will provide:

  • Campsite with water, sewer, and electrical hookups
  • Fee booth and operational workspace
  • Computer equipment, radios, printers, and fee collection equipment
  • Official forms, visitor materials, and identification items

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous campground, park attendant, hospitality, recreation, or customer service experience
  • Experience handling cash and payment systems
  • Familiarity with outdoor recreation operations or public lands
  • Experience working with federal, state, or local government contracts

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to walk campground areas and conduct inspections throughout shifts
  • Ability to lift light supplies and perform minor maintenance-related tasks
