Current opportunity: Financial Consultant

Location: US
Onsite/Hybrid/Remote: Remote
Shifts: multiple full-time available
Years of experience: 3 years financial counseling experience, preferable within the military community

What you will do:

Workplace Options have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Counsellor to join our team. The financial counsellor will be the first point of contact for our clients and their families when they are looking for personal financial counseling. Financial counseling will be provided to assist with establishing a basic level of financial literacy and good financial behavior and habits, as well as more sophisticated financial planning to assist with advanced financial needs such as investing, estate planning, tax planning, education planning, and other financial matters.

Qualifications/Skills:

To excel in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:

• US citizen
• Completed Bachelor’s Degree
• Certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), or a national certification with the National Foundation for Credit Counseling (NFCC) required.
• Must be organized, disciplined and able to multi-task
• They should personify positive customer service and maintain efficient work habits with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to work with a team or group of people efficiently
• Able to handle fast paced and ever-changing environment while meeting production and quality standards for current position
• Knowledge around specific financial programs and benefits, including but not limited to bankruptcy, budgeting, debt management, credit, basic investments, financial planning, financial report review (credit report), foreclosure prevention, home buying, small business, personal income taxes and military financial literacy (SBP, SGLI, VGLI, SCRA, BRS, TSP)
• Candidates who have received Tier 2 Public Trust Security Clearance in the last 5 years preferred but not essential.
