Job Overview The Director of Marketing is responsible for leading integrated brand initiatives and marketing programs at Colada Shop. This role collaborates with internal teams and external partners to deepen community relationships, elevate the customer experience, and showcase Colada Shop’s premium offerings. Additionally, the Director drives digital marketing strategies, manages brand consistency across all channels, oversees SWAG initiatives, and meets key business objectives.
Key Responsibilities 1. Digital Marketing - Strategic Campaigns & Online Ads
- Develop and execute online marketing strategies for seasonal brand campaigns, product launches, and market expansion.
- Manage the digital marketing budget, allocating resources to maximize ROI across various channels (social, search, display, etc.).
- Plan and optimize online ads (e.g., Google Ads, social media ads) for targeted reach and effective conversions.
- Oversee concept and design for marketing ads in both digital and print formats, ensuring creative alignment with brand standards.
- Email Marketing
- Own the email marketing calendar, from content ideation to execution, ensuring messages align with promotional plans and brand voice.
- Segment and target customer lists for more personalized and impactful campaigns, monitoring performance metrics to refine strategies over time.
- Social Media & Content
- Lead the development of compelling, platform-specific social media content that resonates with target audiences.
- Collaborate with internal and external creatives to deliver a balanced mix of brand storytelling and promotional messaging.
- Loyalty & Innovation
- Enhance and innovate Colada Shop’s loyalty program to boost customer value and retention.
- Implement new behavioral triggers across digital channels to increase customer interactions and conversions.
- Trend & Consumer Insights
- Monitor market trends and analyze consumer data, leveraging insights to inform campaigns, ads, and content development.
2. Communications: Partners & Collaborations - Partnership Development
- Cultivate relationships with local partners, external brands, community organizations, and landlords to launch creative marketing campaigns and maintain a positive presence.
- Manage collaborative marketing initiatives and partner-driven sales strategies to amplify brand presence.
- Information & Relationship Management
- Maintain ongoing communications with landlords and community organization partners to ensure details such as store information, events, and brand updates remain accurate and up to date.
- Performance Monitoring
- Track and analyze the impact of partnerships, providing data-driven insights for continuous optimization.
- Maintain day-to-day relationships with brand partners and their marketing teams for aligned communication efforts.
- Public Relations Alignment
- Work in tandem with the in-house Public Relations team to ensure cohesive strategies and maximize campaign reach.
3. Online Platform Management - App & Ordering Platforms
- Oversee the maintenance of the Colada Shop App, the brand website, and all third-party ordering platforms (3PD).
- Manage 3PD promotions, coordinating with platform partners to create compelling offers that drive sales and loyalty.
- Reputation Management
- Ensure content is accurate, up-to-date, and impactful across all online customer-facing platforms, including Yelp, TripAdvisor, and Google.
- Lead digital review responses on multiple platforms, providing timely, constructive engagement with customer feedback.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address operational issues surfaced through online reviews.
4. In-Store Marketing - Materials & Budgeting
- Design and manage in-store marketing materials and ads, enhancing brand visibility and the customer experience.
- Oversee in-store marketing budgets, aligning initiatives with operational feasibility and financial constraints.
- Monthly Aesthetics & Visuals Audit
- Conduct monthly audits of each store’s aesthetics, visuals, and retail displays to ensure consistent brand presentation.
- Provide actionable feedback to store managers for improvement or updated merchandising strategies.
- Manager Coordination
- Hold regular meetings with store managers to align on marketing strategies, share updates, and measure the impact of in-store promotions.
5. Branding, Design & Visual Content - Brand Consistency
- Review branding trends and make recommendations to keep Colada Shop relevant and fresh.
- Manage the brand website, updating layout and content based on quarterly evaluations.
- Graphic Design & Photography
- Create or oversee the development of high-quality visual assets—including graphic design and photography—for social media, in-store materials, marketing ads, and campaigns.
- Occasionally collaborate with external designers or photographers, ensuring all outputs align with brand guidelines.
- Menus & Signage
- Develop graphic content for menu boards, signage, and merchandising assets; ensure everything adheres to brand standards and is consistently updated.
- Retail Products Design, Sourcing & Cost Management
- Design or supervise the creation of branded retail products, working with approved vendors to source on-brand merchandise.
- Negotiate costs and manage budgets, ensuring retail products meet financial and brand objectives.
6. Other - Manage marketing/ brand related vendors and external contributors.
Skills & Requirements - Experience
- 3+ years in a marketing role within the restaurant, hotel, or related hospitality industry.
- 4+ years in a senior leadership marketing role, with demonstrated success in strategy and implementation.
- Emphasis on digital marketing strategy, analytics, email marketing, and paid advertising strongly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency
- Expertise in Google Suite, MS Office, social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn), and online review platforms (Yelp, TripAdvisor, Google).
- Familiarity with marketing analytics tools (Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, email automation software) to inform data-driven decisions.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design and photography principles, with the ability to produce or supervise high-quality visuals.
- Leadership & Adaptability
- Excellent project management skills, adept at organizing multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances, solve problems effectively, and maintain composure under pressure.
