Job Description
A Carrier Sales Representative focuses onsourcing, negotiating with, and managing motor carriers to secure profitable capacity for freight, particularly in open-deck or specialized transportation. They build carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and manage daily load tracking in a fast-paced, high-volume brokerage environment.
salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities
- Capacity Sourcing: Identify, vet, and secure motor carriers to move client freight, focusing on growing the company’s carrier portfolio.
- Negotiation & Pricing: Negotiate favorable pricing with carriers, providing pricing guidance for RFPs (Request for Proposals).
- Relationship Management: Develop long-term relationships with carrier partners and act as an intermediary between carriers and Account Managers.
- Load Management & Tracking: Manage assigned loads in assigned territory, including tracking, tracing, and ensuring on-time delivery.
- Problem Solving: Address carrier service failures, resolve issues, and create corrective action plans.
