Job Description: Wound Care Nurses are valuable members of our health care team who provide direct and indirect nursing care for residents, as prescribed by the physician, assuring that wound prevention and treatment interventions are clinically appropriate, properly documented, and aligned with regulatory and quality standards. In addition, the Wound Care Nurse collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to drive optimal clinical outcomes, support compliance initiatives, and promote evidence-based wound prevention practices throughout the facility.

About us: Brooke Knoll Village is a skilled nursing facility located in Avon, Indiana.  Brooke Knoll Village is seeking compassionate Wound Care Nurses to become a part of our team where our primary goal is to provide exceptional care to our residents. 

About the Role: Brooke Knoll Village is seeking Wound Care Nurses to-

• Perform skin assessments upon admission/re-admissions and document appropriately.
• Assess weekly progress and obtain weekly measurements and document accurately.
• Review ordered treatments to assess the efficacy of treatment.
• Initiate and update care plan regarding skin condition.
• Confer with wound consultant, as appropriate for recommendations.
• Track weekly weights and consult with Dietician and MD for recommendations.

About you: The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and hold a current license by the State of Indiana in good standing.
• At least one year’s experience in wound care, preferred.
• Wound care certification, preferred.
• Must display good emotional health and be capable of extended periods of standing, bending and heavy lifting.
• Ability to maintain professional attitude, including such areas as confidentiality, concern for all people, cooperativeness and conscientious use of time.
