Now Hiring: Registered Dietitian in Manhattan, Kansas

Rethink Nutrition is hiring a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) for a hybrid outpatient role in Manhattan, KS with an established referral base and strong administrative support.

This role begins with a ramp-up period as your caseload builds, with most clinicians reaching 20+ weekly clients within approximately 3-6 months depending on availability and scheduling preferences.

A typical full-time caseload is 20-30 clients per week. For example, a clinician seeing 25 clients per week averages approximately $68,900 annually based on current reimbursement rates.

We are a well-established private practice specializing in outpatient Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and functional nutrition care. Our services include gut health and GI disorders, diabetes and metabolic health, weight concerns, hormone and women’s health, general outpatient nutrition counseling, and performance nutrition.

We emphasize root-cause functional nutrition, behavior change, and collaboration, allowing clinicians to go beyond standard MNT protocols. We also value clinicians who bring unique areas of interest or specialization, such as women’s health, pediatric nutrition, or other niche expertise.

We office alongside the dietitians and mental health professionals of Unbound Recovery, LLC, an eating disorder clinic in Manhattan, creating a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

Many of our clinicians transition from hospital or high-volume telehealth roles and value the ability to provide longer sessions, deeper client relationships, and more individualized care.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Dietitian to join our team in a hybrid role, including a minimum of 10 in-office hours per week.

Clinicians are supported by admin-led scheduling, an existing referral pipeline, and established systems, allowing you to focus on client care and building long-term relationships rather than managing logistics.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one nutrition counseling focused on long-term behavior change.
• Deliver a high-quality client experience and build strong therapeutic relationships.
• Collaborate with the team to support client retention and continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and billing-related tasks.
• Develop community relationships and referral partnerships.
• Engage in ongoing professional development.

Compensation & Growth:

• This role uses a percentage-of-receipts compensation model designed to reward growth and efficiency.
• Clinicians averaged $53 per billable hour in 2025.
• Most clinicians reach 20+ clients/week within approximately 4-6 months.
• Typical full-time caseload (20-30 clients/week).
• Example: 25 clients/week ≈ $68,900 annually.
• During ramp-up, clinicians benefit from consistent referrals, scheduling support, and mentorship in building and maintaining a full caseload.
• Full-time clinicians are eligible for paid time off, continuing education support, and health, dental, vision, and disability insurance. Malpractice insurance is provided.

Schedule & Flexibility:

• Minimum of 10 in-office hours per week.
• Telehealth and remote charting flexibility.
• Self-determined schedule, including daytime or evening options.
• Ability to structure your schedule around personal or family needs.

Qualifications:

• Registered Dietitian (RD or RDN).
• Licensed in Kansas (or eligible).
• Reside in or near Manhattan, Kansas.
• Experience in outpatient counseling preferred.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• New graduates are welcome to apply with support and mentorship provided.
