About the Position

Are you a passionate dance instructor who loves working with children? Ensemble Schools is looking for an experienced Performance Company Lead and Dance Instructor to inspire and nurture the next generation of students at  Production Company Dance Centre . Our growing studio in  Longmont, CO focuses on providing quality instruction in a safe environment. We're seeking instructors who can deliver engaging, in-person lessons and contribute to the vibrant dance community. Our positive classrooms are staffed by amazing teachers who go beyond teaching dance technique to developing important life skills in students because PCDC is about More Than Just Great Dancing!®

We are currently looking for a  Performance Company Lead and Dance Instructor for next season. This role would involve leading a community-focused performance program where dancers:

• Learn one routine in the fall and one in the spring
• Perform at local venues and community events
• Participate in parades (so experience with parade-style choreography is a big plus!)

We're really looking for someone who is:

• High-energy and engaging with kids of all ages
• Organized, responsible, and comfortable communicating with community venues and clients
• Able to choreograph, clean, and rehearse routines independently
• Comfortable working with a wide range of skill levels (beginner through teen)
• Experienced in music editing/cutting
• Ideally, the candidate has some dance team or poms experience, as that aligns well with both performance company and an additional class opening

Current class schedule with potential for growth to add additional classes:

Tuesdays:

• 5:15–6:00 PM – Hip Hop Foundations (ages 5–6)
• 6:45–7:15 PM – Performance Company (Seniors, 12+)
• 7:45–8:15 PM – Performance Company (Juniors, 8–11)
  ( There are breaks between classes that could allow for private lessons, though those are not guaranteed )

Wednesdays:

• 4:30–5:15 PM – Acro Foundations
• 5:30–6:00 PM – Performance Company (Minis, ages 5–7)
• 6:00–7:00 PM – Ballet & Jazz I (ages 5–6)

Thursdays:

• 6:45–7:45 PM – Poms class (Age 10+)

During summer months, Performance Company rehearsals would run:

• Mondays, 5:00–7:15 PM (June 22 – August 1)

The full fall/spring schedule begins  August 17th and runs through the season (ending June 2027). We are looking for a teacher who can commit for the entire season.

Compensation & Growth:

• Pay range: $20–$24/hour , based on experience
• Opportunities for growth into expanded teaching roles in future seasons
• Opportunities to teach masterclasses
• Ongoing teacher training and development
• Private lesson opportunities (based on demand)
