Conduct comprehensive audits of trains and stations regionally, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and procedures. Review all customer services, records, and documents to identify and address service quality issues. Offer technical advice and interpretation to management system-wide, promoting consistent application of regulations. Support corporate and regional training initiatives to enhance compliance and service standards. Management of CAPA program and compliance reports.
Responsible for developing, implementing and managing procedures, training tools and communications to support environmental compliance and the Amtrak Environmental Management System (EMS). Manages national programs and initiatives such as recycling in support of environmental goals and process improvements. Maintains EHS documentation and prepares reports and communications on environmental performance, compliance and progress to Amtrak management and outside agencies.
Provides direction and manages implementation of environmental programs at NY Sunnyside Mechanical facility to ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local Environmental laws and regulations, and to advance Amtrak’s Environment and Sustainability Management System (ESMS) policies, programs and procedures. Position reports to an Amtrak manager in the Mechanical Department and indirectly reports to the regional environmental manager in the Safety, Health and Environmental Department.
The salary/hourly range is $94,300.00 – $122,256.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position. If an applicant/employee refuses to provide written consent for Amtrak to obtain these records, the individual will not be permitted to perform safety-sensitive functions.
In accordance with federal law governing security checks of covered individuals for providers of public transportation (Title 6 U.S.C. §1143), Amtrak is required to screen applicants for any permanent or interim disqualifying criminal offenses.
