Irrigation Laborer – Landscaping Company (Jacksonville, FL)

A locally owned, family‑operated landscaping company serving residential and commercial clients since 1989 is seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician to join our growing team. We provide full turnkey services including landscaping, maintenance, irrigation, and fertilization—all under one roof.

Role Overview:

The Irrigation Laborer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical components, performing routine inspections, and working safely outdoors while supporting high-quality service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems, valves, pumps, clocks, and timers
• Trace electrical components, locate zones and valves, and perform trenching and digging as needed
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper function, safety, and adherence to work orders
• Safely operate tools, vehicles, and equipment while following all safety standards
• Maintain clean, organized facilities, equipment, and job sites
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
• Ability to read and follow safety rules, instructions, and diagrams
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good hand dexterity and comfort working with tools and equipment
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
• Valid driver’s license required

Physical & Work Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform climbing, walking, kneeling, and stooping
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to climb ladders and work around mechanical and electrical components
