Sanico, Inc. is a family-owned and operated wholesale distributor of janitorial supplies and equipment, serving the Syracuse, NY area. The Equipment Repair Technician plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing a variety of floor care equipment, both in the field and at our in-house service shop. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair customer floor equipment, including auto-scrubbers (walk-behind and ride-on), vacuums, extractors, and related machinery.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer service calls, managing time efficiently between field and shop assignments.
• Communicate effectively with other Equipment Repair Technicians and branch staff to coordinate repairs and share technical knowledge.
• Utilize the company ERP system to create quotes, enter orders, and ensure accurate billing of labor hours.
• Assist, on occasion, with the installation of towel, tissue, hand soap dispensers, or chemical dispensing systems at customer sites as directed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, both in the field and at the service shop.

Qualifications

• Experience with small engine repair, machine maintenance, electrical systems, and batteries.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to learn and use company software systems for quoting and order entry.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage time independently.
• Willingness to work both in the field at customer locations and in the in-house service shop.

Compensation

$19.50–$23.00 per hour
