Job Description

OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES :  Employee will assist in the preparation and production of CBS13 and Good Day Sacramento Newscasts. 

Duties include:

• Assisting producers with building rundowns and show formats.
• Writing for broadcast.
• Coordinating graphics and video elements.
• Supporting breaking news coverage with urgency and strong editorial judgment.
• Collaborating closely with anchors, reporters, photographers, and assignment desk staff
• Performing other duties as assigned
• Individual must be able to work flexible hours and overtime, including early mornings and weekends.  Other duties as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS : 

• Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Television production experience and/or a college degree in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred but not required

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $20.0 - 20.0. 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. [[cust_payTransSTIP]] [[cust_payTransSalesInc]]
